From 3 March 2026, we’re adding an extra layer of protection to your web and App login with multi-factor authentication (MFA). MFA adds a simple step beyond your password to better protect your Momentum profile, reflecting our commitment to a secure, reliable digital experience.

What is multi-factor authentication (MFA)?
Multi factor authentication (MFA) is a security measure that requires more than one form of verification before granting access to your Momentum profile. Standard systems usually require one thing to let you in - a password. However, passwords can be guessed, stolen, forgotten or accidentally shared.
Instead of relying only on a username and password, MFA verifies your identity using an additional factor - something only you have access to, like your cell phone. This approach significantly reduces the risk of fraud, identity theft, and unauthorised access.
MFA works alongside Momentum’s broader security and fraud prevention measures, which are designed to protect your information, monitor suspicious activity, and ensure safer digital interactions.
How to set up multi-factor authentication
The first time you log in after 3 March 2026, you’ll complete a one-time MFA enrolment, which includes confirming your cell phone number. After that, MFA verification will be required once every 7 days.
